| Brief History |
Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Taguig (PLT) or The University in the City of Taguig (UCT) was established through Ordinance No. 29, Series of 2004 which created the Pamantasan ng Taguig (PngT) and enacted on the 6th day of September 2004 at the Municipal Government of Taguig with Councilor Marisse Balina-Eron, Councilor Aurelio Paulo R. Bartolome and Councilor Allan Paul C. Cruz as sponsors.
By virtue of the conversation of the Municipality of Taguig to City of Taguig on 8th day of September 2004, Pamantasan ng Taguig was renamed as PAMANTASAN NG LUNGSOD NG TAGUIG (PLT). |

| COURSES OFFERED AND ITS DESCRIPTION: |

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN HOTEL and RESTAURANT MANAGEMENT
It is an industry based curriculum. The students will gain strong foundations in hospitality service, housekeeping, lodging operations, and preparation of hot and cold cuisine. The course ensures that students acquire up-to-date skills required by various hotels and restaurants. It will also conform to global hospitality management standards where students can apply for intership positions in restaurants and hotels acquire the necessary experience and launch international careers. |

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN ENTREPRENEURIAL MANAGEMENT
The course will include enhanced marketing information as it relates to entrepreneurial activities. Subject matter will include introductory entrepreneurial concepts, business plan development, management responsibilities, and legal and ethical issues of business ownership. |

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN MARKETING MANAGEMENT
The study of marketing concepts, principles and its practical applications. Students will examine risks and challenges marketers face to establish a competitive edge. Subject matter includes economics, marketing foundations/functions with emphasis on selling, promotion, product/service management, pricing and distribution. In addition, this course will explore human resource and leadership development. |

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN CRIMINOLOGY
The study of crime as social phenomena, of criminals, and their treatment. Covers study on society's criminogenic factors, the criminal justice system, criminal law, its formulation and as a means of social control. The social science of psychology and psychiatry. |

It creates world class students in facing challenges in the hospitality as the worlds expanding industry. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN SCIENCE IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
The course presents a broad introduction to the functioning of a business enterprise economic framework. Introduces the economic system, the essential elements of a business organization, production, human resource management, marketing, and finance and risk management. Teaches the fundamentals of supervision including the primary responsibility of the supervisor. Introduces faster relationship to the work of supervisor and subordinates. It covers aspects of leadership, job management, work improvements, training orientation, performance evaluation and effective employee/supervisor relationship. The program prepares the graduate to develop business competencies in accounting, economics, management, and marketing. It will also help develop effective entrepreneurial skills, faster decision making and familiarize with diverse business environment. |

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
The course is designed to give the students with hands-on training skills, communication skills, computer training and training in office management and administration. Upon completion of the course, the student is prepared to perform or function productively in the area of office administration and management. Office Administration graduate may find employment in various offices as office secretary, personnel, executive secretary, office manager, administrative assistant as well as administrative manager who will be responsible for seeing the business or office runs smoothly and productively. |

Computer Science is a course intended to produce programmers in the field of information technology. The course deals with intensive programming concepts with intensive computer laboratory hands-on to develop proficiency in computer software design, development and implementation as well as computer hardware maintenance. The program prepares the graduates to such employment opportunities as computer programmers, computer analysis, system analysis, business processing outsourcing officer. |
BACHELOR OF SCIENCE IN INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY
Major in: Electrical, Electronics, Automotive and Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
To provide appropriate professional, technical and technological instructions and training in Industrial Technology and promote research, production and entrepreneurship. Provide basic and advance theoretical knowledge and technical skills development instruction through ladderized education. Produce technically competitive graduates by providing capability build-up responsive to the needs of business and industry.
